Calling all FatBoy Lo Owners
#5541
Anyone running Carlini Flying Apes? If so how do you like them? I just purchased a pair of 14", 1.50" with the piston risers. I am now in the process of looking for cables and wires to get them set up. I noticed a huge price difference on the cables since I have the ABS.
If anyone needs to know anything about tuners go to the link that Fatboy Todd posted. It has any information on tuners that you could possibly want.

I had the SEII Pro slip ons on my 2010 Fat Boy Lo. They were banned here a few years ago due to non EPA compliance.
I don't know the part# of them but I had to cut the top slip on tube about 1 inch with a pipe saw. It was very easy. The slip ons are just held on by pipe clamps and a bracket. I had to fabricate a simple bracket for the top slip on and the bottom one just bolted right up to the bike.
These were a little louder than the newer Screaming Eagle slip ons.
( I had mine right next to the same bike with the newer slip ons)
I did not have to remove or modify the crossover tube.
I have the 2012 Fat Boy Lo now and I can tell you that on the US models there are catilytic converters in the stock slip ons and I would assume they are in the newer Screaming Eagle slipons to comply with our EPA rules.
There are none in the older SEII Pros.
They can still be found and purchased on eBay

Hi Mates
I just fitted 6" pullback risers to My Fatboy as the 4" pullbacks just didnt cut it & it looks like Im going to have to take the bike to the dealer & have a longer brake-line fitted & to reset the ABS as the line thats on there now gets a bit tight when at full lock to the left.
If I ask the dealer to put a long enough Brake-line on so if I decide to change the bars to street slammers will I be able to change the bars then without disconnecting the ABS is it just the brakeline or is there an electrical connection as well involved.
Also are the street slammers any further back than the 6" pullback risers as looking at the bike they look almost like chrome street slammers now.
Cheers
Rick

Well not happy this morning after contacting local (400km away) dealer about a longer brakeline I was told HD no longer make the lower part for the Street Slammer conversion & if I need it done Ill have to take the bike to them & they remove mine & get it lengthened which will take 3 to 4 days then they can refit & reset the bloody ABS which is next to impossible for Me without taking holidays & even then Im not going to sit around for 3 to 4 days with no transport.
I really want to rant about how HD wont let others reset the ABS & discontinuing accessories for a 1yr old bike & their bloody Street slammers but I wont
Are there alternatives & if so will they send to Australia?
Cheers
Rick

I have the 6" pullback HD risers on my 2012 Lo and am still using the original cables. The dealer I had do the work switched the routing around a little I think but the original cables work fine. I've ridden probably 500 or more miles so far with no issues. The brake cable doesn't have much slack at full lock but it hasn't caused any problems yet and I don't think the dealer would have done the work if there was going to be. Especially since I made it clear to them before they did it that I expected to have to pay for new cables. Guys here's a pic of my new derby cover that Story808 did for me. It should be on the way to me tomorrow. Hopefully it will be here by next Monday or so.
