It's impossible to get my feet up on that mustache bar with my heavy breather. I got me some highway pegs I use everywhere.

Bleach? Don't think you will be able to remove those stains. $75 for having the heat shields redone in ceramic powder coating. Sorry for the damage. Hope the parents are willing to help out a bit unless you were the one watching him.

Default Reflectors

I just used a hair dryer and some strong fishing line to remove mine. I took the fork and the side reflectors off. WD40 cleans up any thing left from the double side tape.

Wow sorry to hear about the pipes man. I would definitely think thoseare stained since bleach is the devil. If the parents pay for it then I guess you dont have to worry. It is a pain in the *** though

if you know your gonna have them recoated, in the mean time...
you could try a small test spot and wipe them with more bleach and rinse immediately or...
you could try and wipe them with wd-40 (almost fixes everything) on a rag and rinse immediately... good luck

To remove my reflectors I took a thin screwdriver and wrapped the edge with black electrical tape, got up under each one and simply leveraged it right off. Very easy and used goof-off to remove the adhesive.

Of course I like to live dangerously..lol

Take a look at the info for the 2012 model year. The Fatboy and the Fatboy Lo will both get a new and common handlebar. Also if you look at the first slide in the Softail section there is a blue colored Lo.

It looks like the new common bar will bring back your reach a few inches from the current bars. I am thinking a set of the new bars with a 3 inch riser might just put me where I want to be and I may not need to extend wires or replace cables. Keeping my fingers crossed. Looks like a winter mod for me.
