Does anyone have that 14" passenger pillion? The damn girlfriend just surprised me and was like "I bought a helmet! Now we can go riding together!" i'm thinking to myself "dang it to shoot."..sort of.. anyway, now that she has the damn thing i figure i should be the good man that I am and get her something more comfortable to sit on that fits with the stock seat.. and i think that pillion might be the way to go.. word.

I wish this thread could be synthesized into a concise list of bullets with pictures and part numbers and names and procedures, without all the duplicity, and with all the BS cut out.

Example: Picture of bike with widget, made by X, part number xxxxx, how to install . . . .

Okay, who wants to write a book?

Hey Sgt Jim... I've got the larger passenger pillion on my Deluxe and it's WORLDS better than our stock seat. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat.

As for all the blacking out talk...I agree. All I have left to do is powder coat my lower front forks and that'll be it. At first I wasn't even going to powder coat my light trim or license plate frame...but after a little time and some unwanted input from others...I went ahead and did it. And to be honest, I'm happier now. But that's it. All black is too dark. Only other big expense I think I have left is to get some ghosting done to the paint on the tank. It's just too big of a black canvass to not do something with it.

How about two books? The parts catalog and service manual.

Default Now I'm sure...

Now I'm sure I don't like it. I've been looking at these pictures all day and as excited as I should be to get new stuff on the sled... I'm not feeling it. I should have went with the wrinkle black, and now I feel like I don't know what the heck I was thinking when I ordered the gloss :P

The powertrain is wrinkle black. Chrome might have offset better, but I wanted to stay away from chrome on the bike. The wrinkle black that I see on the other bikes offsets and lines up better with the timing cover, derby cover and what not as far as color matching, and also offsets from the glossy black a bit too.

I guess I'll have to make a call to my service guy and see what options I have. On a side note, I like the swingarm bag

Hey you might have answered the question I am about to ask in an earlier post.....What kind of running lights and turn signals are you running? Did they come in black or are they powdercoated? Also what kind of exhaust is that? By the way bike looks great.

then you'll have a big chrome piece sticking out on a bike that doesn't have alot of chrome on it to begin with.. i'm getting my primary cover powder coated to a "hotrod textured black" which is "supposed" to come close to matching the harley engines without being Wrinkle black.. if/when i get those back that might be an option for you

Thanks, the spotlights I got off ebay. They are are a round bar, so they seem to be the standard lights for fat boy, not the deluxe kit which has a flattened bar. The signals are the kit to go with the lights since the standard light kit doesn't come with turn signals. There are two signal kits to choose from, the heritage style and the bullet style. It was all chrome, had it powder coated.

The exhaust is Patriot Pipes http://www.patriotpipes.com/models.html

Well fellas, after 4 cans of spray paint and driving to every store in town, I finally found a rattle can that best matches black denim without having to shell out $20+ for an HD rattle can that I've heard sometimes doesn't match. I think tomorrow I'll get a second set of eyes on it in sunlight then proceed to paint my heavy breather and struts. Once that's done, it's onto the headlight and apes. Probably spent just as much money on all this paint as I would have at HD but oh well.

Edit: I sprayed the belt guard so that's what to compare to the fender. Sorry!
