It's about 20 bucks a can, and it is a dead match. I use it all the time for my stuff.

Dave, that was the 1600th post in this thread. way to go.

Friday is supposed to be 70*F here, a good day for painting, a bad day for riding, especially since, well.. you know....

but i guess i'll attempt my trim ring.. hoping to get all my stuff out to powdercoat today.. too bad i'm on to trying to reach my third powder coater in my area, one doesn't answer their phone, and the other didn't speak a word of english, so it was kind of a turn off.. hopefully third time lucky.

Default DaveFLSTFB, ...question

There is no doubt you have one of the best looking Lo's on the road. I was wondering why you removed the black sissy bar you used to have on there?

"In my mind" I would think it could look good with all the other mods but maybe "seeing it on there" it took something away that you were shooting for on that show bike of yours.

Just wondering on a cold crappy day in Ohio

Good choice brother...my sweeping beaters should be here any day now...gonna call BR now to make sure they already shipped.

Lucky for my wallet, I didnt make it back out to the Daytona Speedway before the wheel vendors split and I would have probably grabbed a set of red rimmed, chrome nippled and black spoked wires. I missed Ride Wright at the Rat Hole Show, well, they were supposed to be there and I didnt see anything setup.

So, now that I am back from Daytona, it's time to start on the huge list of mods for my Lo.

But, I have a little bit of cash left and don't know which items to go for that I have not already purchased.

If I were to only purchase one...

1. Ride Wright http://www.ridewrightwheels.com/fat_50 . I'm worried that, even though they will be the same size, i'll lose the Fat Boy look without the solid disc.
2. Shotgun Shock, adds comfort and a sweet look, plus it would be fun.
3. Custom seat, passenger pillon and sissy bar pad, either black leather with red sting-ray inlay or black gator. I'm gonna ride a lot and am worried about wear and tear on a custom seat.

Just waiting on PC or TTS to come out with the tuning solution for '11 so I can decide on an AC.

Am I forgetting anything major? The denim paint is staying, not changing any tins, maybe some tunes?

HD is some real ball busters, a can of black denim is $25 plus tax. I might try some Krylon first and see how that matches.
