Thanks.
Has anyone swapped/replaced their lower forks before? The stealership just quoted me 3 hrs of labor at $109/hr. Wondering if that sounds about right...

Welcome, looks good but..... yeah the lowers need blacked out to finish what you got going on there

3 hours isn't excessive to change out lowers. It's a fairly simple job if you have the right tools and are used to working with seals O-Rings and such, you just have to work super clean and pay attention to what you're doing. check youtube I'm sure there are some videos

Bike looks good , nice job. What type and height windshield did you install ? Looks good on a FB not many do.

Nice mods, like slick. What windshield are you using and how is it at highway speeds?

The windshield is a national cycle switchblade deflector. It’s a quick release and good for chest wind, but there really isn’t a windshield out there that truly solves the wind issue AND looks good.

Oooo. I already have the powder coated lowers. I think I’m just gonna suck it up and get the whole lower fork and boot cover switched at the same time.
But, I’ll definitely plastidip the windshield hardware.

Thanks , any head buffeting? I went through 2 windshields and hundreds of dollars still can’t get rid of that head buffeting. I’m almost giving up on even using a windshield.

Yeah, 3 hours sounds just about right. I did mine, had the lowers powder coated and replaced the oil bypass system with progressive cartridges. It wasn't a bad job at all, I probably had 6-7 hours in it, but I'm guessing the dealer would be quicker.

yeah, there is buffeting... but I have my shield as far back as it goes (not as upright), and I have 10” z bars so I definitely feel it in my face.
if I tuck my head down in an aggressive position then there isn’t much. If you ride low and have low bars maybe you’ll like them. I’m pretty sure there isn’t a streamlined, good looking, low profile windshield out there that hits all the checkboxes.
