Looks good, I have gone back and forth about forward controls since I've had mine since my feet are always on the highway pegs anyway. Those engine covers, are they the Harley wrinkle black or are they powder coated?

So, the dealer let me take my original rear fender after replacing it. I was thinking I'd hang onto it in case I decided to turn it into something custom in the future, but I'm not sure how likely that is to happen. Anyone interested in it? I'd let it go for a really reasonable price...

Here's the only damage (it arrived like this from the factory... like someone bumped it into something during assembly. lol)...

They are the Harley wrinkle black. Cost wasn't all that bad when I got them from HD vs buying after market and or taking them off and repaint/powder coat. Additionally, I'm trying to keep all OEM parts unmolested (minus my floor boards, those are ground to hell).

Thanks to everyone for the positive feedback on 'ol girl. She's still a work in progress and thankfully, lastnight was my Friday so I'll be riding all weekend.

So has anyone here had a chance to check out both the newer style C&C Solo seat for the two rear bolts (via T-adapter) and the older one for the single rear bolt? From what I understand both will fit our bike but the earlier one sits back a little further and I like the look of it better. It's kind of squared off at the top/rear whereas the newer style is more round...

I know every review I can find on C&C says they are nice and comfy regardless of new or old style so I'm more inclined at this point to go for the old one...

Yeah, I think that's part of why the pattern is different for the newer one is to make room for the backrest mount, if desired.

I'm not interested in adding a backrest though.

Yeah I saw that x-ray you posted with the screws. Pretty gnarly, man.

1,000 pound pallet of frozen chicken fell on top of me, didn't even see it coming. woke up when they were putting me on a backboard. 3 surgeries and four years of therapy later and here i am. life is short, brother, enjoy what time you have
