Calling all FatBoy Lo Owners
Yeh, I looked at that one too, just not quite what I want. I want something that wraps the front to keep the danm bugs off but not not wrap the whole thing like the football. I'm still working on the design, along with the tank and fender bibs. Just got too much going on!
Well, I got my package from Magnum Shielding so I'm all set to work on my bars tomorrow morning. Any tips I should know before going in or is it as straight forward as it seems to be?
All the wiring I have is plug and play, I have no throttle cables to mess with because of TBW, and I have a big syringe to fill the front brake from the bottom up so that should take care of the brake bleeding.

if you have any wiring going through the bars, the best way to get them through is to tie string to the ends and blow them through with an air compressor... you'll have to take the tank off to get to the wiring under there. mine had to be soldered together. are you replacing the bushings? mine were new so i didn't bother
Yeah, I picked up some urethane bushings. Everything I read said that was the thing to do with taller apes so I figured I'd play it safe. All the wiring will be through the bars and I have a vacuum that I used to pull a string through when I did the bars on my warrior, so I think I will be good there.
I've seen some say you need to take the tank off and others say you can just unbolt it and scoot it back and get to everything...
