Calling all FatBoy Lo Owners
Congratulations, welcome to the Fatboy club Great bike, you will have thousands and thousands of miles of pleasure!
Hey guys. I've been trying to read this thread over the course of the past couple weeks. I've made it to page 891 and feel like I know a few of your already! My name is Tony and I've been riding since I was 14-15 yrs old (m 32 now). This is my first Harley though. I never really saw a Harley that I knew I absolutely had to have until I saw the Fatboy Lo at a independent dealership. There was a 2010 Denim with only 1200 mi on it and a 2012 vivid black with 3000 mi on it. I was set on the denim until I realized the 2012 came with the 103 motor and this one had aftermarket exhaust on it already as well and was only a $1000 more then 2010. I know this bike has a bit of chrome on it, but I couldn't pass it up as it was much a better deal overall. I have lots of questions, but I'll leave most of those for later, for now just wanted to introduce myself and tell you a few things I noticed that I'm assuming aren't stock..The chrome mirrors (I thought stock was black) obviously the exhaust (wish the previous owner would have opted for black). The big thing though. The pinstripes. I don't recall seeing any other lo's with these pinstripes before. Let me know what you all think. Also, fyi these are the dealership photo's.
Haven't posted here in a while and did some upgrades waiting for spring. The 40+ inches of snow in February really blows. My bagger project is complete (maybe) for my long rides and everything comes off within a minute for the around town wind in my face ride. Pretty happy with the outcome (wallet is not)
Just installed the "not so loved here" hyper charger air cleaner. I love the looks of this, many don't but it's mine damnit! What a pain in the *** install however. If I had known I would have gone another route. Anyways here she is for now. Sorry about the garage pics but I will be lucky to get my bike outside by mid April with this
White stuff. Also added the daddy long legs seat which glad I did I was going to trade the bike in for something more spacious. Seat made a huge difference in leg room. Thanks for looking!

Carlini apes
I'm seriously considering replacing the stock bars on my 2010 Fat Boy Lo with some Carlini apes (possibly the Evil Apes, they look pretty badass ). I really like the look of them, but the one thing that's holding me back is the fact that I love the way my bike currently rides and I wouldn't want to negatively affect that by adding the apes.
For those of you who have added apes, can you please share your thoughts on how it affected the ride?
Thank you in advance.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it. I'm sold then, I just gotta decide which bars now. And which risers lol. Carlini sells quite a few different risers.
I was leaning toward the 14 in. Evil Apes, but I just realized they only sell them in 1.25 in. Do the 1.5 in. bars look better on our bikes, due to the beefier front ends, or do the 1.25 in. bars look fine?
Also, their website says "all Carlini handlebars are drilled for internal wiring". Any suggestions on cable brands and lengths for Carlini 14 in. apes?
Thank you in advance.

Need Black Eyebrow / Visor Headlamp Trim Ring
Has anyone found a Black Eyebrow / Visor Headlamp Trim Ring that will fit a 2014 Fat Boy Lo? (Stock 7" bucket, not the Road King / Freight Train Version)
I've got a call into Harley Tech to verify the fit of their versions, but actual knowledge would be nice.
Please include brand and part number if you have it.
If you bought a chrome one and had it powder coated please share that info also. Thanks!

HD told me no go unless it's a freight train. Most I see on here pc or rattle can the chrome version. Me, I'm saving my nickles for the freight train and visor, no comparison in my humble opinion. I've got a 223 I've been thinking of selling to make it happen but I hate loosing guns almost as much as I love that freight train but I'll probably sell it, I'm just too impatient!
