I'm headed down to Daytona Thursday. Gonna hit up the bike show at Tropical Willie's in Ormond Beach around noon.
I think I have the defective front brake reservoir cap issue. It's leaking very slightly. I need new tires soon, so I'm just gonna have the dealer look at it when I take it in in a few weeks.

okay, so i checked on mine, that's the bottom of your transmission, obviously.. yes i see a problem with it because nothing is supposed to be there. I'm like 84% sure those threaded holes are used when HD is transporting the engines and transmissions from the factory in Wisconsin to the York assembly plant in PA (because they attach the tranny to the engine in Wisconsin and ship them as a whole unit).. because aside So. With that being said. Yes. You have a problem

Like I said, i'm not 100%. If you haven't already, I would post that photo to the Transmission forum found here:

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/prima...ine-clutch-54/

and ask "WTF are these two holes and why is there oil there?"

You may get a better answer, sorry i'm not more help.

If those two holes are definitely the only place its leaking from, id think it would be an easy fix if you don't want it in the shop for weeks while they replace the tranny.

Find what ever size bolt fits those threads, locktite the heck out of (or what evers best for sealing threads from fluid leaks) and just plug them.
Its probably just bad casting. I know my Lo never leaked from there.

They just did all this work on the transmission due to the shifting lever never returning.. I posted something about that already... and I've just around 500 miles since getting it back. Now this.

I moved the bike last night and put a thin board under that area after I wiped it clean. When I checked this morning there wasn't a single drop down there, and didn't see anything in the two holes.

I'm going to the HD place tomorrow because I was going to talk about trading it in towards an Ultra... so now I have to mention this as well.
