I bought some 4.5" half boards at my local Harley dealer. You can also get full size ones as well.

Handle bars
Interested in replacing stock bars on my 2012 FBL. Would like to go black and have something that lets me sit back a little. I do not want apes.
Seems the HD Street Slammers do not need new cables and look pretty nice. Any feedback on those? What other options do people suggest?

Street Slammers will defeat what you are wanting. Here is a comparison on the dimensions between your stock bars and the Slammers.

He is selling black 2011 Fatboy Lo bars which are even less rise and pullback.
How much more pull back do you think you need? You can always go with the HD Curved Pullback Riser-56267-09. It will give you about 5" rise and 1.5-2" more pullback over stock. Really anything beyond that your going to have to start changing cables and brake line. Figure cost of all cables, wire extensions and brake line at around $350.00. Then what ever bars you choose. If you do the install yourself you will save around $500. It's not to difficult of a job.
