That is correct Misbehaven he is in the 3rd US Inf Old Guard. He graduated from Fort Benning,GA. I flew from Idaho to GA. to pin his blues on him... man what a moment for me. At that moment that exact moment I will never forget.
Hey Griffin, what part of Idaho are you from? When I retired (after 21 years in the Army) I retired back to Boise..since then I moved out to Caldwell to have some land for our horses. I am back in AFG as a contractor so I don't get to see Idaho much; do you have any recommendations for dealerships or Indys (I just ordered my bike and it wont be delivered for a few more months) My boy graduated from Benning last year as well and is up at Drum...small world huh?
Anyone have a recommendation for a one piece integrated tail/brake/turn signals
Don't really like the stock rear turn signals.
D2MOTO has some nicely priced and good looking lights. They don't list them for the newer bikes but all you need to do is add two more ground wires to the light for the integrated turns. Each light has a separate ground on the bike. I used some spare wire with the pins on them so I did not have to cut the stock light in case I sold or wanted to use them later on.
Couple of minor updates:
Engine Guard.
Going to rock the Badlander seat for a while...see how I like it.
New grips and levers.
Cut the 'ol football air cleaner cover.
I want to go internal throttle as well but some army motorcycle meetings were telling us that they were going to crack down on apes. 15" from the seat is the law in the area. I'm sitting at around 29" So I may just wait to see the outcome of it. Other mods will keep me busy in the mean time.
I wanted to go taller apes, but didn't want another reason for the LEOs to pull me over. Still wish I would've went with 14's though.
Dizzy, those are some nice pics. Wish I had your photo skills and a better camera. I always just snap pics with my cell phone.
