The spring loaded pivot point is in the Roto-Plate not in the axel mount.

The Heartland license plate has a spring loaded pivot point which allows it to collapse when hit. Are you saying there is also an collapseable pivot point on the Roto-Plate?

No, I am just pointing out that the Roto-Plate (I could have worded it better) has a pivot point for a 360 degree turn of the plate assembly. Didn't mean to confuse it with the Heartland collapseable pivot point.

Maybe this video will help explain how the Roto-Plate works.

I wonder is Arkansas will allow the vertical licence plates? I looked in the book and it says nothing about it.
Also, what badge would cover all those holes? Does it look ok back there?
Im not good at weldong and I really dont want a cluster of 4 plugs back there.

Kuryakyn makes a plate. Someone is running two on their rear fender that doesn't look bad.

I'm pretty sure DragonSlayer08 is running a HD aluminum bar and shield to cover the holes,

I'm running a chrome bar and shield meant for the Ford HD version truck I got off ebay and a button hole plug I got at an Ace Hardware store.

Old thread but if anyone is still interested the new Softail Slim has a spring loaded license plate mount. Don't see it on the H-D website yet. At the 1:40 area on the video.

Hogdiver96 love the grips and bars. What are the specs (brand, pullback, height)? I'm 6'4 looking for a good stretched look.
