my Burlys have less than 3" of rise and are sitting on a pair of 1.5" risers. The bars miss the caps by about 1/4" at full lock with the bars shoved down proper. you will be fine.

A little different bar from jo's bike. These have 4" rise on 1.5 risers. Not real fun on tight turns but livable.Very comfortable all day.

What problems do you find when turning tight

when you go with wide beach bars (over 36"), the bars will be inside of your knees during parking lot maneuvers. not a big deal, just gotta get used to it.

what jo said. It's just an awkward feeling till you get used to it.I can still do tight circles and figure 8's.The position really relaxed my shoulders riding and well worth the getting used to.So you know my bars are Milwaukee Twins 35" wide. Also used Twin's risers.
