Default No More Syn.Oil In My Trans.

Had the shift and shaft seals start to leak after maybe 7,000 miles.I put regular Rotella 85-140 in place of the Royal Purple 85-140 to see if it will stop leaking. When I drained the RP it drained like water, the Rotella was like honey.I had forgot how smooth the bike shifts.I think the syn.is just too thin for use in Harleys.I might drain the motor oil in a few weeks and go back to regular oil and see how much more quite the engine is.

Sorry, but 85W-140 is the same viscosity whether it's synthetic gear lube or whale ****.

I don't sell it, but I do use the 75w-90 synthetic lube from Amsoil in my tranny. I found that my bike shifts smoother plus the hunt for neutral is easier, no found leaks.
