Default LePera Seats for a nightrain

My husband has a 2007 nightrain and he wants a solo seat for it. The only decent one we can find is the LePera smooth. I'm not sure he is going to be really comfortable on that seat but it's about our only choices we have. All the other seats he hates or they are way too thin. What is your opinion on LePera smooth seats, are they comfortable? All he has now is a stock seat....

What's his riding habit? Long rides, tours or quick trips?

Is that a trick question?!

He wants a seat that is comfortable but he is not willing to sacrifice looks. He still wants his bike to be slim and sleek without a bulky touring seat. He wants a solo seat that makes his bike look good....he does around town riding, highway riding, and if we ever get time will go on further rides so it needs to be comfortable enough to with stand at least an hour of straight riding. So far LePera is the only one that looks padded enough (gel seat) but sporty enough.

He looked at the seat at harley, the brawler I think? It was terrible!

So I guess it doesn't matter which seat he gets. No matter what he gets his *** is going to hurt and fall asleep?

I had a mustang on my sportster and it was pretty comfortable. I still had to get off my bike and jump around to get some blood flowing every 50 or so miles though. Guess he'll just have to toughen up!

Thanks!

I have a Lepera Bare Bones. I might as well be sitting on the frame. Very uncomfortable after about 2 minutes of riding but I bought it for the looks. You could get one with the soft gel inside for a little more money. I havent riden with one though so cant tell you the difference.

I have the Silhouette Solo on my '07 NT. My *** doesn't feel any different after an hour than it did after 10 minutes. i haven't had a chance to take any long trips with it yet...but so far so good.

I have the Lepera bare bones no gel. It looks bad ***. But after I get to about 100 miles it is brutal. Great for around town kind of stuff though. For the right look most people can tough it out! Check out the Danny Grey Butt crack solo as well.

To me nothing looks better then the barebones... After about a hour or two I gotta get off it... and rest the butt. but you get used to it after a while.

I too have a barebones and it does look very cool and the best I can do on it is about an hour and then need to walk around. Not sure if the gel would make it better, they are pretty slim. I still love it. I still use the stock badlander for longer trips
