If you are installing Harley Goodies there is no need to extend your pedals as they actually make it easier to get to the brake due to the fact that you do not need to move you foot around and over the brake pedal once they are on, but only up and onto the pedal. It is hard to explain, but I run these and love them. My pedals are not extended. Less range of motion required makes getting to the brake pedal quicker and easier.
