Aysrav,
I like how you improved your Deluxe, specifically the fairing and LaPera seat. The fairing is simple, clean, and complements the bike. I'm not big on fairings, but I like yours. How do you like your seat compared to the stock seat?
Thanks Stovepipe. I'm not a big fan of fairings either. It's a practical thing for me. Just makes sense in the winter and on long trips, and I like the way this one looks.
As for the seat, yeah, I love the little Lepera. If you're asking about comfort, let's just say it's great for around town. Anything more than that and I'm pulling out the gel pad that I keep in one of my bags. I also still have the stocker that I had reworked by Mean City. If I'm gonna do any serious touring then I'll put it on.
Now I'm thinking about a third seat. I'm really intrigued by the Silhouette Up Front by Lepera. It has the same clean lines and I won't need the pillion for 2-up. Wish I could find a picture of one on a Deluxe?!

Nice bike SD. Here is mine. It started off as a 2002 FATBOY. I installed the V&H true duals but the mufflers were to short sitting half way under the bags. I had a hard time looking for longer mufflers but it turned out that the softails are 4" longer than a touring model so the only choice I had was these 36" fishtails. I wish I had other choices. How were you able to make those pipes clear the bags?

By the way, I had the HOPPE QUADZILLA fairing on it but the bike started to wabble past 70MPH so I took it off. Have you had any trouble of wabbling with your fairing or anyone else on here with an after market fairng?

Diesel, did you say you had to settle for the 36" fishtails? They look killer on your bike, but then I'm a big fan of fishtails. I have Samson 33" on my Deluxe. I wanted to go with the 36" but I have a problem scraping tails occasionally out of driveways. I looked at the V&H but I didn't like the look.

Yes Matt,
I had to settle for the fishtails and I agree they look killer on the bike but I really wanted a big diameter muffler. Those look killer as well when the bike is viewed from the rear. I love the boom cans look...
