It's a job I'd like to do unfortunately my softbrake relocation kit has been backordered for over a month now. Anybody know of a relocation kit that puts the plate under the taillight besides Softbrakes?

I just reached under the fender with a small ratchet and installed it on my FatBoy Lo. Then I ruffed up the chrome frame and sprayed it flat black, looks factory.

Use the Z-bracket. If you don't you run the risk of it breaking where it attaches to the tail light... I didn't use the Z-bracket and it broke.

Thanks!

I had ordered the softbrake housing, relocator and led frame from softbrake and also had been told that they were backordered. Call JP cycles, they have everything in stock and just about the exact same price.....

Yeah, I used the Z-bracket. Wouldn't have been worth it to not to anyway.

Default Layback plate bracket

I bought mine and my wifes from BadAssChrome.com. The directions are easy; first remove plastic cover from back of tombstone tail light then be carefull not let the two thru bolts that hold the bracket from falling out......, a pain to retrieve then simply put some temporary duct-tape on the heads from under the fender, reassemble and your done. All done without removing the fender or rear wheel.
