Never, ever, ever do a bar swap without measuring the cable length yourself. Had to walk away before I kicked the thing over due to my own stupidity.

 

Were the cables ordered via one of the vendors sponsored on this site? If so, they may simply exchange them for what you need.
Did two bar swaps in eight months and on both occasions cable lengths were given to me by HD Forum vendors, and were spot on.
