Default 09" nightrain wild1 lowering kit install???

I bought those wild 1 rear lowering kit also but i was wondering if the shock compressors were a necessity on the removal/install of the replacement brackets? Thank you in advance for the advice.

i bought the bolts to lower my bike!!i have been holding off because the shocks have to be compressed on a press,would like to do a quik changeover and was wandering if there is some way to compress shocks?

I used two wood blocks set on a floor jack cradle to support the eyelet side of the shock then used one more piece of wood to protect the shock shaft and rolled it all under my F350 thats lifted 4 inches and jacked the shock up to compress it and dissasemble, then installed the bolts, and jacked it back up to compress and reassemble the shocks.

Took me about 15 mins total to do both shocks from start to fnish, it took longer to remove and reinstall the shocks then adjust the height of the bike then it did to install the lowering kit on the shocks.

That was clever!
I guess it's true what they say....Necessity is the mother of invention.

yep!! thats what i wanted,i thought there will be a way of doing it with a jack!!cheers
