I used two wood blocks set on a floor jack cradle to support the eyelet side of the shock then used one more piece of wood to protect the shock shaft and rolled it all under my F350 thats lifted 4 inches and jacked the shock up to compress it and dissasemble, then installed the bolts, and jacked it back up to compress and reassemble the shocks.
Took me about 15 mins total to do both shocks from start to fnish, it took longer to remove and reinstall the shocks then adjust the height of the bike then it did to install the lowering kit on the shocks.

I guess it's true what they say....Necessity is the mother of invention.
