Default SE II slip-on performance question

I've ordered the SE pro II slip-on mufflers for my 05 EFI Fat Boy
and I will be having them do the remap.

Without any other changes, will this alone provide ANY performance enhancement at all
other than just the sound?

Chris,
Get the air filter upgrade also or your remap will be a waste of money. Bob

15hp increase on average is what I've been told.
I had the exact same thing done, and it added some pep.

You are not going to see much with just the mufflers and re-map if you don't do the air cleaner. The mufflers will let more air out, and the re-map will give more fuel, but if you don't have more air coming in, ie, free flow air cleaner, you are not going to gain much, in fact, with the re-map, you might go a little rich if you don't add some more air.

The complete package is going to give you a noticable seat of the pants gain in performance.

Regards,

Bill

Anyone know the part number and price for the air cleaner?

I'm not sure which one it is. My bike is the FLSTFI.

Chris

The mufflers alone don't give you much in performance boost, on an efi bike you have various options to enrich the fuel, the dealer reflash will raise the rev limit to 6200 which may make you think it's better, but at 6200, you're just spinning the motor without making much more power if you don't get more air/fuel in there

Thanks!

I have a downloaded .pdf file of the catelog, but it doesnt list the prices.

Or I just cant see it because I recently lost an eye due to some fun and games

Or I am just not looking in the right place.

IS there another version that contains the prices?

Oh yeah, one more thing, I can continue to use the stock cover for the air cleaner right?
I dont really care for the teardrop shaped cover...

Personally, I would do the whole package on the stage 1. They say that it will make your bike run more better. I ordered mine put on before my bike left the dealership. It was a recommended upgrade by the members of this forum and that was good enough for me. Go for it dude, you won't regret it.
