I just picked up a new Crossbones two days ago. It's my first Springer and I will never go back.

I love my 08 Cross Bones. Had it lowered 2.5 in and ride with 16in Chubby Apes. Its a smooth ride. This ride will be staying with me for a long time.

It's very comfy on long rides and if you get bored you can watch the springs going up and down when you hit bumps hehehe.

I love the way they look with the sprung solo seat, but I just can't get comfy on them. I see snook and a couple others have different seats, I kinda dig the King/Queen. I guess my question is (and I promise I will stop being a noob) does the seat that it comes with ride any better than it feels sitting still?

i personally think it does on my crossbones, the springs are all the same for every crossbones so if you were heavier they won't work as well.

I love my springer classic, and have ridden it to and from VA to upstate NY (around 400 miles one-way) multiple times. Sharp bumps in the road can be harsh, but otherwise springers are great rides.
And I totally agree with IronAss about watching the springs move as you roll along. Just don't get too hypnotized, or you'll end up in a field!
