Is there any other kind of a bike THAN a springer?

I LOVE my Springer. Rides like a dream. Cleaning and waxing the springs can be a bit tricky, but it's worth it. Call it a labor of love. Smooth traveling even though mine has the 16" wheel and tire and is a bit heavy compared to most others. I don't plan of ever letting it go and I get tons of comments about the styling of my Hog.

I loves me some power... maybe if I do this I will have to look into some power upgrades. Still, I can't get past the beauty of the springer.

i also enjoy my x-bones, although it is more complex compared to regular bikes the only difference in maintainence is lubricating the forks, and if you don't then replacing small bushings either way no big deal.

I love my X-bones and like the others have said, I doubt I would ever go back to a hydraulic fork bike. I need to update my pic, but even with mine lowerd 2.5" it rides great.

Do the Stage 1 upgrade and the bike wakes up quite a bit

I feel stupid for asking but if you don't ask you don't know. How does lubricating the forks work exactly? Is it like a chain drive where you clean it and spray on some lube?

I'm going to have a Springer eventually. Love the looks and they handle great!

The only downside to the springer front end is braking. By its design it will only handle so much torque for braking hence the single piston brake. Otherwise it's timeless and a dream to ride.

Every 2500 miles you have to grease the steering head bearings (there is a grease nipple), and every 20,000 miles you have to check/lubricate/torque the rockers. They recommend to have it done by a mechanic. The whole procedure is explained in the service manual.

The rockers are supposed to be checked/adjusted after the first 500 miles too for proper torque.
