How's the performance and mileage been with your D&M? I've got the Chinese knock-off on mine and noticed gas mileage is down and it smells like it's running rich. Looking at it, it appears there's not as much filter exposed compared to my SE intake.

The performance improved and the mileage decreased a bit, but not that noticeable. It is running perfect not to rich or lean. The D&M comes with K&N filter also.

Rob... if you get a Mikuni 42 crab for your train man... It's a night and day difference. Best mod I ever did. Oh yah... No filter though?

 

I've had the Mikuni on the bike for a while, but I've had to use the adapter for the SE intake, but wanting something I can bolt on without the use of an adapter

 

Here's mine...I'm thinking of a change but not sure to what

 

I also had a HD Screaming Eagle on my bike for a while. It was noisy and got in the way of my right knee.

If you change the filter from stock to a K&N, do you need to get a Fuel controller (like the Power Commander or a Fuel Pak)? Or is that needed for a Stage 1 filter assembly?
