Question Can I get my FXST rear turn signals any closer?

My stock rear turn signals stick out so far it kinda looks like wings... I'm into aviation, but not on my bike. Are there any mounts to use with stock signal housings to bring them closer to the struts? I found some for older bikes, say up to 2000... But nothing for my 2005.

Any idea if the aftermarket has anything without replacing the whole signal?

Harley makes shorter standouts that were used on the Deuce. I have a pair off one and they are about 3/8" shorter

This thread was made for the Alloy Art strut mount signals. See in the pic. These have been powder coated black but they come in chrome or raw finish. http://s891.photobucket.com/albums/a...1.jpg&newest=1

looks like you have the older type...I want to do the same but I dont think they will bolt to the struts. It looks like them wings have to be used to fit into the cutouts on the T/S

Roger that... The "wings" fit into contours and curves in the T/S housing. Bolting them direct to the strut, unfortunately,is not an option.

Wish I could use those. They are sweet. BUT.... My turn signals also double as my tail light(s) and they need to satisfy Johnny Law in that respect. I think the Alloy Art units would be a bit small for his/her tastes... Now if I end up with a side plate WITH a tail light... We'll be talking!!!

Maybe you can get some older softail signals like on the 2000-2006 and bolt them to the strut. I think that might work.
