Default Anyone have the K&N 63-1125 air filter?

Wanted to keep the Football, but gave up on that idea. I was looking at the SE Heavy Breather w/black intake. But decided to order the K&N unit instead.

The K&N seems to have a flat black, that should look good with my Black Denim paint, vs the gloss black of the SE HB that would match the frame...

The K&N looks bigger and more oval than the SE HB.

The install looked easy on the K&N site. Not as clean looking as the SE HB in the end though.

Anyone have dealings with each?

I have the SE Heavy Breather in black. I am happy with it and it does not stand out against the denim paint.

I've never seen the K&N ones in person, but I have seen plenty of the Screamin' Eagle Heavy Breathers, though. They do look sharp! But, as far as weighing which one is better...it's hard to say. The K&N is cheaper, but the SE HB is far more popular. I, personally, would go with the SE...but, that's just because I know I like the looks of it. Functionally, they may be equivalent.

I stand corrected.

The Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather is $300

The last time I got a price quote, the K&N was $50 less...but, I didn't verify it online, and the guy probably got his numbers mixed up...bummer. I almost had a good deal. lol
