Default Exhaust Wrap!!

Hey guys, just picked up 50' of black exhaust wrap and am about to wrap my short shots on the Train. My question is...do you think I should wrap the pipes with the shields on or off? And is 50' enough either way? Thanks for whatever info you can provide.(pics wouldn't hurt lol)

I would wrap the pipe then put the shields on. Well, that's what I did in the past anyways. A good trick is to soak the wrap in water before you install them. That way it's more flexible and you could really tighting it onto the pipe. It will smoke a little when you start it at first but it goes away rather quickly.

Wrap the pipes without the shields. 50' will be plenty. For a tighter wrap soak it for a few minutes in water. Wrap from back to front. Good luck.

Im doing it for looks so I want to see the wrap. I just don't know what makes more sense/looks better, wrap shield AND pipes or toss shields and wrap pipes alone.

50' is more than plenty. If it was me I'd do it over the shields for the extra diameter. I'm sure others will have other opinions. Do yourself a favor and glue the loose ends of the wrap to prevent it from unraveling as you install.

mmm-k...now my follow up to that is...Is it possible to wrap the shield and pipes or are they too close together where they meet? And whats the deal with going around the o2 sensors? wouldnt it leave a gap?
