Thanks cryan9. She's definitely not everyone’s cup of tea, thats for sure. And shes out in the streets as much as possible... You also have a sweet look'n sled bro. I've always liked the satin black look. I plan on doing up a car that style in the near future.

Default 2009 Softail Deluxe

I need some help, I just bought a brand new 2009 Softail Deluxe 2 months ago and in the beginning stages of customizing. I want to lower the rear some, put a 21" front spoke on and do 10-12" Apes, can anyone kinda point me in the best direction on the best way to lower the bike without spending a fortune and not riding like a semi, also need help in trying to find a 21" inch wheel that will fit without a whole bunch of modifications. As far as the apes, would great appreciate some feedback as to what kind of bars would look the best. I am new to this site, so thank for any help in advance.

Welcome to the forum.... being a lowering thread, the cheapest way to lower your bike is to use lowering bolts on your shocks. If you set the preload high it is not to bad. I have mine pretty low and I can still ride two up with my wife with no issues. Using a lowering bolts you have to find that sweet spot between ride height and preload. An air ride system is the best but a good one is going to run some coin.

That said if you put a 21" rim on your bike you are going to want to lower the front as well some. Putting the 21" on the front and lowering the back is going to throw off our rake.

As far as the rest of your questions, I would recommend reading and searching. Lots of good info on this forum and lots of great bikes and people. Do your research and you will be happy with the results.
