Oh if you are going to ride with an Ipod, invest in some Shure brand earphones. They keep the wind and road noise out and the sound quality is amazing but they are $100 but well worth the money.
Not sure which set I got but the earplugs I got for the iPod came in the same colors as ipod. I think the were JVC and had extra earbuds too. Work great, but I only use it on longer rides, not so much around town.
I must be about 1/2 deaf if some of you can ride with the stock ear buds and hear just fine.. I had to crank the volume full bore and could barely hear it even then.. I bought a good set of Etymotic in-ear plugs and they work awesome.. 1/2 volume even at 70+..
ive purchased many earbuds . I use them when i workout at the gym and most havent lasted more than a month or two. Ive had klipsch S2 headphones for months and these are by far the best sounding headphones ive ever owned. Ive had bose, monster beats, and sonys ..Definantly recommend these klipsch S2 earbuds and they fit real tight in the ear for riding. They run about 60.00 at bestbuy.
I use my iPhone. Perfectly legal here and have the volume set so that i can still relate to my surroundings. I'm into my tunes so much that i wonder what people around me think when my feet are grooving to my tunes. Screw it...I love to ride!
