Spacing on 21" rim

"replacing it with a 21" stock smooth profile HD rim off of a Standard"
What year standard? Harley loves to change stuff for no apparent reason. There are some "one year only" wheels out there. Changing spacers is pretty standard affair when using a wheel from a different bike...because there are a bunch of different hubs out there with no real reference to what fits what. If you ask anyone at the dealer, they just give that "deer in headlights" look...and anyone who works on bikes just measures, gets the correct spacers, and moves on.

I know what you mean about the deer in the head light look! I went up to the dealership the other day to pick up some fork oil and the guy was bored and wanted to small talk. He asked what I was doing to my bike and when I told him he looked lost. Then he called a parts guy and a mechanic and they all but told me it was impossiable to lower the softail rear shocks using lowering bolts and that a Standard 21" rim WOULD NOT FIT!
I was like ok whatever got to go! I wanted to take the bike up to the dealership today but I am having to wait tell the spacers get in.
By the way the rim is off a 08 Softail Standard.
