Default Avon Tires??

I have an indy trying to sell me a set of Avon tires. Listening to him they sound great at a good price but I'm not familiar with them.
Does anybody have any experience with Avon on a cruiser? Let me know if they are any good or not. would appreciate any comments.

Thumbs up

Everybody's got there own opinions on this TIRE topic Jim, im still running the original Dunlops. I've heard a lot of positives on the AVON'S and METZELER tires, but once again it's a personal issue! GOOD LUCK!

I've always had Avonson my Tiumph's, they used to be of dubious quality but have greatly improved over the last 20 yrs. The last set I had were sticky as glue and lasted well into 1200 miles with loads of tread still to go, in fact I sold the bike last Sept 09 with those tires on with still loads of tread. If their compatable with the bike i'd buy a set no probelm's.

Switched to Avons as soon as the dunlops wore - no problems with them. I'm on my second Avon rear and will need to change the front soon. Feel no need to try anything else.

It is my opinion that if you try an Avon or Metzler that will end your use for Dunlops.
