Default turn signals

whats up guys? im changing out my rear turn signal stems and putting a shorter stem,my problem is i cant get the wires to come out of the plug so i can slide the long one off to put the short one on does anybody know how?

There is a tab that has be be pushed with a jewelers screwdriver or something else equally as small to release the wires. The tab is reached throgh the outside of the plug or the side that plugs into the taillight.

thanks dr.v-twin,i got it,i knew it came off,i was'nt using a small enough screwdriver,i got a smaller one like you said and i could feel the clip and they came right out.
