Cleaning Tips

Yeah the leaf blower works like a champ for getting water out of bolt heads and all the. Other crevices water likes to hang out. And I've used it for a couple years and had no problem with "sandblasting" and as for the simple green, I use that as well, I'm active duty Air Force and we quit using that stuff a while back because of the corrosion thing, but I've been in long enough to see how they tend to go overbord with things. So until I see a problem with corrosion that I can attribute to a cleaner, I'll just stick with what works.not trying to bash or argue with anyone, just my opinion.

i use S100, works well, and then I used a good car wash soap too. Usually, I do both and then I fire up my stihl leaf blower and dry the heck out of it, Amazing how well the blower drives water out of the tight spots and then a good towel dry, then it's wax and chrome polish time.

I believe that S100 will cause corrosion as well, that is why it says do not let dry I do not use it as often as I did. Just good old Meguiars car wash then after I wax I do use Harley Sealant Thats some good stuff. Also use it on any aluminum that u you polish is seals it and looks better longer.

Heeding some warnings about pressure washers (which I've used) I try to keep from douching the switches and other electrics with water and/or air pressure, which makes the leaf blower ideal. The cone tip helps make a concentrated blast into the guts of the bike.
And yeah, don't set it down running.
