Have you ridden them both? You should. I did. I like the heritage a lot, but when I rode the Fatboy...I knew.

 

I have an '03 Heritage and went with the quick release side plates and bag set up from Bubba's - http://www.bubbasbrake.com. I am happy with the set-up, and like others have said, best of both worlds.

 

This is my FLSTC. I personally like the look of the wider front fender over the Fatboy ( my my personal preference though.) VERY close to the FB look though.

I demo both bikes....with the HC you seem to be a part of the bike and not on the bike like the FB feels. I also like the look and pipes of the FB. I understand they are the same frame and bike basically, just different pars, seat, bags, lights and windshield.

They have the same seat height, but the FB bars just seem to be further and longer to reach than the HC.
