Default Anybody out there with a stock Harley?

I'm just about to buy my 3rd HD. My previous (an '01 1200 and an '07 Streetbob) came used with exhaust mods already done.
I'm getting an '07 Heritage with less than 700 miles (pearl white, showroom cond) and it's completely stock.
I was thinking about leaving it that way at least for a while and was wondering if anyone was running their bikes stock and how they like it?

Also, whenever I post a thread the title is never in bold (unless this one is miraculously). How do you get in bold?

Ummm... What's a stock Harley? Don't know if I've ever seen one of those.

I am running my 1970 XLCH stock. And liking it a lot. I wouldn't alter it for any amount of money.

I say give it a shot and leave it stock for awhile to see how you like it. Even if it's stock, it's still yours. As you mentioned, there aren't very many "stock" bikes out there.

My fuzzy crystal ball says you'll get the urge soon though.

That's what I'm talking about! That be like touching up and revamping a Picasso!

When it comes to stock newer bikes, this is my outlook. It's like sex without foreplay! It's always good, but the foreplay always mixes things up In a good way!

An interesting way to put it, but I can't argue with the Picasso statement.

I ran mine 'stock' (yuck!) for a year or two. But couldn't get used to the quiet.
I kept winding it up too much just to hear something.
I was breaking all kinds of speed limits and still not getting the overall experience I was looking for in a HOG.

But if your happy with it 'stock', go for it. Its your bike so whatever makes you happy is fine with me.
I just think that sooner or later, your gonna mod it somehow, its almost inevitable.
