Never heard of checks - yet! A bill is already alive and given the current economic conditions, the liberal administrations in both Fed and Sate, tells me they will come after us just because its more money for them. Soon we will be taxed for snacks like sodas, potato chips, cookies... Just saw on the news that Ca. is looking into smog testing vehicles using the vehicles sensors rather than putting the smog equipments sensor into the exhaust pipe. They say that its more accurate and will eliminate any fraud or false readings...

Like others mentioned, save your stock crap.

 

If you had a Programmable EFI Tuner couldn't you just program that to produce the correct emissions required for the 'smog' check?

I think this bill is still breathing though it doesn't look like it's going anywhere soon. Definitely just another revenue generating p.o.s. law. Who elects these buffons anyhow?

 

Sb435 CA not withdrawn but was shelved last year. Which means it is still lurking again for this year. NOT GOOD

Here is the deal my friend, random in spections have been on the books for years, but never have been enforced. However, if you were moving to Cali from another state, or if your bike is a Salvage Title, you will be asked to have it inspected, or no registration card is issued. As far as the bill in the Senate, that an earlier post mentioned, ABATE of California, was able to make sure it got killed off.

from what i heard if you act stupid they will use that epa thing against you. most states have laws against acting stupid known as GP. General Principle.
