RE: 88 cube v 96 cube?
Found an 07' for sale on ebay already. The guy has Vance and Hines straight shots and a power commander hooked up. I e-mailed him and asked him how he found the pipes or what he did to get around the 02 sensors. He replied back that the power commander has the option of bypassing them and his local dealer did all of the install. That sounds odd, they never even want to talk about a power commander when I go to my dealer, and I have an 05'. It's always deflected back to the HD race tuner being the way to go.............

I wish I had the updated 96/ 6 speed..
It would be a built 103 for the same price as my built 95"

Its funny I read the piece about the guy who said his dealer would always frown when he mentioned a power commander I wonder why hmmm no more downloads at $150 a shot. I remember when Harley had no synthetic oil they did not recommend it now that they have a synthetic oil is OK to use it. Its all about the Benjamin's with them. I just bought a legends air ride system for $500.00 less than my dealer wanted for it and I got a song and dance about it. I went up to the owner and asked him for five hundred dollars he said for what I said play money he laughed well that's about what it would have been if I bought it from him. My dealership now is getting 80 dollars an hour labor that's fine they charge about three and a half hours for labor to install pipes and the download. they get the 3 1/2 hours weather it takes them two hours or less but should they run over the 3 1/2 they tack it on. there was a bullitin about the new bikes using oil they then said it was normal that was a quick fix.

According to what I read there is only about 3 more foot pounds of torque. This is probably gonna mean more at lower rpm's. I don't think it would be that much of a difference. I'm not an engineer nor a motorcycle tech, just a former auto tech and now an automotive instructor. If the EPA has anything to do with manufacturing specs, which they do, more cubes won't necessarily mean better performance. If they keep leaning things out, performance takes a dump, mpg goes down. Big brother is puttin' the squeeze on 'em. I would like the sixth gear though. Ride safe. Jr.
