Plumpbiker, Thewholehog has a good point. If your left leg gets cooked when you put your leg down now (not quite sure how far back you are putting your leg), your leg will be hot while riding or down with these. In my humble opinion, the pipe on the left side doesn't flow well as it simply crosses the engine and primary. I couldn't bring up the right side, but I can only imagine that it appears a little empty on that side. Not a clean look like the Samsons and Vance and Hines. I could probably live with the stepped mufflers. The Samsons and V&H just flow so well with the Deluxe.

I think they look and sound good but I like my V&H's. Plus like everyone is saying the left side goes all the way to the front so your whole leg is probably going to be hotter. I bought a cheap V&H off ebay so I can't complain about paying a lot for them.

I would be concerned with the heat on the the right ankle.

I think that everyone, including myself, really has no idea, until we see them...
That what sucks... they don't seem to be around, so it's hard to get 1st hand opinion...

I'd speculate, it'd only be half as hot as typical right-sided exhaust setups on a V-twin.

I'd also guess that we spend 98% of our time moving forward... riding... not parading like a cop in traffic...
So, the heat thing don't matter much, I'd say...

I think other questions need to be answered;

- how does it fit-up during install?
- how's the quality?
- how's the feel of the torque curve post-install? (Bassani touts that the equal-length piping is an advantage...)
- etc etc

Very good points.... well said.

Hopefully someone will chime in who is actually running these pipes. My money is on the fact that the left leg will get no hotter than the right leg.... but thats all speculation right now.

Thanks 98... The right side does look a bit better than the left.
