Because of the difference in body shape, size and weight, what is comfortable for one person might not be for another. I changed mine to a Gunfighter (similar to a Badlander). It is narrower and firmer than the stock seat. I couldn't even do 200 miles on the stock seat...my butt would just ache. On the seat I have now, I can go all day and not have a problem. Well, other than ..... my back aches, my head is ichy, my hands are numb, but my butt is fine. LOL

I have a Corbin Gunfighter as well and love the seat. Much better than the stock pillow seat that was no the bike.

My fatboy stock seat is on a shelf gathering dust.

Current seat is a lapera Silhouette Bullet Solo:

Hard as a dang rock, even with the gel pad.. but it is a barhopper seat.
Done two 600 to 800 mile trips and can say I've done my first and last long ride on it.
bump on the back that appears to be low back support actually hits me right in the tailbone after a couple tank fill stops.
For a 'round towner or maybe 200 miles, it's ok but for long touring, you'll feel it.

I'm looking at / considering a Sundowner.. I do love sitting lower with the thinner seat like my lapera but I need something with at bit more width and some padding and a more curved rather than "V" shaped seat... basically a tour seat.

If anyone is interested in my lapera.. shoot me a PM.. In perfect shape with gel option.. make ya a deal so I can afford a tourseat.
Check out my gallery to see it on my bike.

Hey, what do you guys think of these Mustang seats???
Anybody try one?

I was checking these out...
The DayTripper...

Or maybe the vintage seat...

Or the vintage super wide seat...

http://www.mustangseats.com/hdcontst.htm

They're quite a bit more than a sundowner.. Wonder what more they have that the H-D seat doesn't?

I have the wide vintage on my Sportster and Fatboy and am very happy with them. Very comfortable for rider and passenger. Mustang seems to have an excellent rep for quality and customer satisfaction.

I have a mustang sport solo with rider backrest and passenger pillion that I am looking to sell (It has since been sold). It is a little less bulky than the vintage wide solo and more of a sportier look to it. The removable/adjustable backrest is nice if you want to go for a long ride or you can take it out if you are just going to ride around town.

In my opinion, there is a big difference between Harley seats and Mustang Seats in quality alone. The mustang seat uses some quality foam (firm but soft) that doesn't break down like the harley foam. The seat pan is made from metal, not plastic. They also use rivets instead of staples to hold the seat cover in place.

If you are interested in seeing some pics, PM or email me.
