Anyone install Customized Cycles Cruise Control?
I'm thinking about buying a Customized Cycles cruise control and installing it myself. Has anyone done this?
How about some reviews and install tips?
Here's the website: http://www.customizedcycles.com/softail_cruise/
And a pic

I too am VERY interested in this thread. I have an 06 Deluxe EFI and I was told that I can not put cruise on my bike and that they don't even make a cruise kit to put on my bike! I was bummed when I was told that but now I have a ton of intrest in this mod. I am going to be traveling long distance's soon and I would LOVE to have cruise on my scooter, BIG TIME! Please keep us posted!!

Yes I have the Customize Cycle cruise control. I had it installed this year by my wrench. He likes the unit. The module which I used has a cable on it and is hard to come by (I do have a list of HD dealerships who are carrying them) but you can order the module without the kit and CC will use its own cable. Cruise Mount also makes one for Softails but it is not hidden as well as the CC one.

Well, still very interested in this thread and CC unit. I have an 06 EFI scooter though so I hope to see and or read from someone who has had one installed with the EFI too. This mod has travled to the top of my list of goodies to go on my bike. I want one before I start traveling but would really love to hear more stories or experiances from those who have it before I pull the trigger though.

I installed the kit myself 2 years ago on my wifes 2006 Deluxe. Took all of about 3 hours taking my time and double checking everything. System works great, and if you should have any problems, call them and the owner will walk you through the issue to fix it. Great people to work with.
Only thing I did different was the cables (wanted braided) and then used Kury covers on the switch housings.
I am NOT a wrench, but I have taught myself to do all my own maintence and have installed everything to both of our bikes over the years. I have found, that like this kit, most have easy to follow instructions as long as you are even a little bit mechanically inclined, and know a few simple tools.
