Default Heritage trivia...?

Ok guys!! What is this bolt for?? It's aluminum, coarse thread, nylon washer, internal thread?? It screws into the frame just forward of the rear fender struts, one on each side... Here are some pics:

My seat bolts there, the stock seat, chrome button head looks better.

Looks like the mounting location for the seat. Should be one on each side.

Ok... So here is a pic of the bike when it still had the original seat. It has a LePera now, and that bolt is just too ugly and too visible...

So under the little flap area there was another mount besides the front at the tank and the rear at the fender?

Thanks guys... I just raided the door clip/retainer bulk bin here at the dealership (GM) and found some nice black push-in style to fit.

That is (as the others have said) where the stock captive thumb screws on the side of the stock seat go. When I replaced my stock seat with one with a backrest, those came out so the replacement could bolt into place. It would have been nice the the replacement HD seat used the same thumb screws, but it didn't.
