I have just went 1" lower than last year (total 2" on the front, 1.5" on the rear) , I can tell you I am not happy at all, and may have to invest in Progressive 422 in the back to see if this corrects.
Problem, fast corners, (wide ramps, anything above 50 M/H) the rear wheel really gets loose and travels sideways, my mechanic assured me it is because of the lowered front , there is much less weight on the rear.. ..
I do not know if anyone every faced that before.. but it is my case..

cut mine to 3.75" might end up doing more. you should deff switch to the heavy weight fork oil.

and yes zss if you wanna go more you just take another half inch off at a time.

ok thanx schuab.. also do you bottom out at all not the frame the actual front. i rode my friends softail nightrain 07 lowered front and the front bottoms out whenever hitting a bump or entering a drive way. he has reg fork oil not heavy. will the heavy eliminate that?? also you cutting the pvc to 3.75" how much lower did you bike go?? what is the measurment from the top of fork tube boot to bottom of triple tree??
