Default Saddle bag question for fatty

Hi all I have 07 Fatboy & I ride daily so when I ride to work I ride with through over saddle bags currently to carry wet weather gear & laptop etc for work. I love the rear of a softail so when cruising with boys ride without bags unless going on a trip.

I'm looking for a quick release type bracket that I can use as currently bags rub a little in places so would like a bracket that is kinda like the ugly ones that seem to be ridged on many bikes with through overs.... yet I want to be able to strip them off easily.

Is there anything or anyone out there that can help with this and keep the my rear fatty looking naked when needed.

I was thinking if I could get a wire type chrome bracket that is joined to one screw hole that could be threaded and maybe used with a screw to affix it like the hand moveable screw used to affix the pillon seat .

Look forward to any ideas and help with this.

Thanks

wizz

Really hope you can help.

I use EZ brackets on mine and they work really well. What I really like about them is that they lock onto the bike with a key so I don't worry about anyone walking off with my bags.

I have boss bags on mine they come with the mounts and covers for the mounting studs when you dont have the bags on the bike...the bags are also available in different sizes depending on the pipes you have on....

Ghost brackets and Tek Leather bags(rain does not hurt them), on and off in 30 seconds and they lock with a key. I think that once you put them on, for the most part you would leave them on as they look that good and are very functional, cost about $500 total outlay plus your time to install them, about an hour project.

i had the rail type until i could afford the easy brackets. they are for sell cheap.
easy brackets make taking the bags off easier than removing pinion seat.

Hi tk35 you have the same pipes on yours as mine Vance and Hines Double Barrel + the ThunderMAx nice work, how much will you sell the brackets for...? + postage to Sydney Australia. Yeah I do want to get the ez style bags/brackets but they are super expensive here about $1000 bucks all up so I'll have to wait for them or until I can get over to the US (hopefully later in the year)

I'd be keen for the brackets let us know how much.

Cheers everyone for your help
