Default roland sands seat kit and a little bit of welding

I had a customer send me this seat and I just have a few problems with it .. first off this is a roland sands seat kit ... first problem I have with this seat ... it has three bolts that hold the top section of this pan in place .. now tell me if you cover the upper part of the seat pan how do you get a allen key on the bolt to hold it so you can screw the nut on ... also the upper bolt is coned and sits flush in the pan , but the lower pan is not coned. this causes the upper pan to sit about 1/4 inch up off the lower , so the two pans do not bolt flush to each other .. my next problem is the upper pan is made out of like 16 or 18 GA steel .. this gives posts one problem with me is now I have to finish the edges with some round stock so it doesnt cut thru the leather ...

I know this sounds like a ton of B#$%ing .. but really as much as they get for these pans you think you would get a little better built product ... it looks like they had a homeless guy cut the upper shell for the pan ..on a good note , the lower pan is laser cut and looks really clean ... I just figured for the cost of the seat pan it would be a little nicer ...

ok here are the pics of my welded bolts and the seat ...

At least you know what your doing! Others less skilled might end up having an "oh sheet" kind of moment.
