Nice job. I put 12's on my Night Train and know what you mean about time. Have done this before several years ago but forgot how hard it was. Worth it though

Why did it take 18 hours? I can't see it being more than an 8 hour job going slow.

Looks good though. Glad you got-r-done.

Ha!!! .I bet 8 hours or less - I lost..

1.Bought what was supposed to be all I needed to fit the bars (1 trip to the bike shop), Oils, gaskets etc. Only had one gasket instead of 2 for the exhaust system (2nd trip), needed a replacement left hand grip as the standard one is stuck on solid (trip 3) = total setback about 2 hours.

2.When dealing with the wiring, removed all the wires from each connector, rather than just cutting them all and soldering back together

3.When Removing the pipes to fit the new clutch cable, Took of the Caps at the tail end of the pipes, only to find the V&H cant drill one single hole straight (took 30 to 40min just to get 2 damn screws back in) - see point 1, didnt end up needing the exhaust gaskets as just undid the bracket holding on the pipes on and help them out and up to get access for the clutch

4.Once the throttle was fitted the switch housing wouldnt close cleanly, had to undo and redo the housing about 8 times.

5.Once the time passed about 1am, work slowed down a great deal...

Plus a couple rest breaks in there too...hahaha!!!

Mine was two months with all the other mods I did while everything was apart. Cutting, soldering, heat shrink, and hitting something in the right bar when trying to feed the wires through, oh yeah, a couple runs to the liquor store.............wish I went with the 14's.
