Checked out the Deluxe and the FB Lo today at Atlantic County Harley and found the price for the Lo to be lower than the Deluxe and what I thought was a real good value for a brand new Harley. I would have to change out the bars as they make me lean into them. That said I still like the Deluxe but the Lo is sweet.
The problem was that they wouldn't give me much for my trade. Really disappointed but I gotta say I understand their problem. They were super nice, much better than my old dealer. I'll be back as soon as I can sell my RK. Its listed in the HDForums Classified's.

Have owened Ultra, SERK, 02 Fatboy and 06 StreetBob, Now own '10 FBLO and LOVE it. Agree handle bars gotta go. 14" Apes as seen here will be on before end O March. As you can see I'm partial to the Denim Black

I really miss the 01 Superglide I traded in for my Night Train but I must admit I like the NT better. Just not the payments.

rode a super glide for a couple of years, a wide glide for 3 years and thought they were great, traded for a Road King, rode it for 50K miles and got used to it, traded it for a Heritage and loved it after a mile. You are not gonna be disappointed in the softail. Don't get it lowered.

Thanks a ton for all your thoughts! It's a done deal. I just need to wait on friday to go pic her up. Bars are the first to go. Anyone have a good DIY write up to give me pointers??. The biggest mysterie will be pulling the tank.
Is it a 2 peice or 1 piece?
What method did you recommend to drain it and remove the crossover tube without making a bloody mess of things. Also, I'm guessing if I want the mini apes, I can just order all the streetbob cables (clutch/throttle) for proper lengths or do I need longer units?? And the dreaded wires. I will need to extend them with the HD kit, right?

Can't wait for friday when a new journey begins on a totally different ride- yee ha.

Tell you what Dark. Ill bring you a Street Bob. And you just load that Train up. Look at it like this. You will not have to worry about going to prison AND you will have that BOB. WIN WIN if you ask me.

As for OP. I think you made a good choice. I went from a 06 Street Bob to a SE FatBoy. They both are great for the riding style they are built for. But I wouldn't give my Fatty up for 2 Street Bob's.

So now that you have had time to think about it Dark. What you say??????????
Just e-mail me your address.
