Default Question re Samson baffles

I run a set of Samson straight pipes on my ST. They have a 2 inch inside diameter. I am thinking of ordering in a set of 1 7/8ths X10 inch Samson baffles. Has anyone installed these, and if so, how much noise is abated and how much tinkering is needed on the jetting side of things?

thx

If they are 2" ID pipes, you need 2" OD baffles.

I got a set of 10's on the shelf. ran them in my Silver Bullet 33's. they mellow out the crack but when you open the throttle up, its plenty loud. I ran them for a few hundred miles then bought longer pipes (with baffles). Let me check the part number tonight. I'll make you a hellovadeal on them if they fit.....

as promised: mine are Samson part # A-120. 10" baffles 1 1/2" for use with 1 7/8" pipes. Paid over $75. Sell for $30 shipped. Let me know if those are of any use to ya.

tmitch is right. i ran the 2" x 10" baffels in my sampson long shots for several years. just enough to mellow thing out like aggro says. i ran these with a set of lollipops and worked real good. shouldnt have to tough the main jet, maybe re-adjust the pilot. steve
