Default Harley Signature seat

Anyone running the Signature seat on their NT, or softail standard/custom that could give a quick review? Wanting to get a nice seat for two up riding with my wife and have narrowed it down to this seat I think but wanted to get some first hand experience. Is the driver back rest easily removable?

Thanks!

PS: Anyone with a pic they could post would be great as well.

Default Signature Seat

Great seat with a driver's backrest - have also tried the Mustang solo seat, the Corbin seat, and the Sundowner seat (which I liked a lot, but doesn't come with a backrest for a Deluxe). All are quality made seats. However some of the seats tend to be wider near the tank causing pressure on the inner leg, others sit you forward toward the tank and higher, and some are just harder and not that much cushion to sit on. Just tried out the Signature seat, and although I don't need a two-up seat, this one was the most comfortable that I have tried. However, everyone is different.

I run one on my Fatboy and like it. I have put 4k miles on it with minor complaints. One thing I'm not fond of is how it moved me forward a little. I'm 6"1"-280lbs, so that small move I could have done without. With the nose of it being narrower that the Sundowner I had on it, I tend to lay my thigh against the cover every once in a while. That will wake you up.... I plan on getting a heat shield soon. The back rest adjusts easily and it comes off with a quick push on the button just below the seat. I have a bad back; all in all, it has made my riding a lot more pleasurable. The pillon is pretty big, but my wife loves it. Would highly recommend it if you need a back rest, otherwise, the Sundowner I had was also nice riding.

Personally, I'm glad to hear you give the Sundowner some good comments. My lower back isn't worth a darn either and after a couple of hours on the stock seat of my '08 Fat Boy, my back had had enough. I just put a Sundowner on it a couple of weeks ago. I'm waiting for the weather to semi-improve, so I can put some test miles on it, but from what I can tell so far, I think I'm going to like it.
