Samson True Duals - Need Input
OK guys...need some help here. I am thinking about swapping out my Samson fishtails (see my garage or album) for a set of true duals (long tails). Please post a side shot of your Samsons and let me know the length and diameter. Iif you have it handy the part number and where you purchased would also be helpful. They have a ton of different lengths on their website and most of their pics are wierd angles and not helpful.
Thanks

Here are mine ..28.5" longtails ...remember when getting them, longtails come to a point at the bottom and top. Were just reg. Samson fishtials point at the top the go straight down. I prefer longtails...
If i were to do it again i would have got the 33".
Go to my profile i got tons of pics there....
Check out ElSupremo's bike he has 23.5" ...then Os_Deluxe his are cholos 39"...
Im actually really diggen these new pipes made by Samson...maybe this summer who knows....

From their website....
Part #: S-233
Silver Bullet" 33" Straight Fishtail
These are Samson's original fishtail design...no baffles. Had these for a little over 6 years now. If you look at the newer Samson true dual fishtail pipes, the slip-ons area fatter in order to fit baffles. These stay skinny from the header to the fishtail.
Just another option....

Mine are the shortest, and they work well for me right now, because I scrape a little coming out of my driveway. Longer ones would probably really drag. That being said, I'll be going longer once I get an airride suspension.
The Longtails look better than the regular fishtails, imo, but either ones have a classic look. That's definitely one thing that Samson got right. Best looking fishtail out there. I love the setup you have, though. I'm not sure I've seen another one like it and it sets you apart and looks great.
