Default Heritage detach saddle bag

Hello. I'm having a hard time finding what I like in a quick detachable saddle bag and sissy bar kit for my 03 heritage. I stripped the rear seat and sissy bar off and put pipes, P.C.V and a heavy breather on it. Want it to be more like the Deluxe but want the bags for trips. Really like the idea of 2 bikes in 1. The kits I have seen like the bare backs have a stud that sticks out like 2". I might as well leave the origonal studs there which look like crap. I want to get a quick detach sissy bar and saddle bag kit. Does anyone know of a product that somehow keeps the attaching part close to the fender rails so when the parts are off it doesn't look "WRONG". Thanks. No offense to the bare backs. Just not what I'm looking for. Not sure if it's even made.

Sorry for the stupid question. I see Bubba's makes one. Every time I tried to open the site my computer would lock up. I now see. Sorry. Well now that I started, are there any that look really stream line on the bike and dont stick out at all. Would love pictures if possible. Don't want to spend alot of money if they wont look right. Want to be done by end of winter in N.Y. Thanks

I use Bubba's Quick Detach for the Heritage Springer Bags I have for my bike. I can add any of the Detachable things while the bags are on.

Anything that will be used to mount Detachable accessories and the bags at the same time will stick out.

There are chrome covers you can get for the barebacks to cover the bolts.

Some add more space than others. Barebacks less than the Easy Brackets (much less). And honestly the barebacks is not really noticeable.

And some space is a good thing. It enabled me to get rid of the goofy lollypop rear turn signals in favor of the touring bar. It will also enable me to get (I think) the swing arm bolt cover that otherwise wouldnt work without the additional space. Good thing because I want the bike to look great with the bags off!

Hey Mike, what do you mean by the bags will stick out? Do the bags stick out far away from the bike with the Bubba's kit?

Bubbas leaves the least noticeable hardware of all the setups and also keeps the bags the closest to the bike for a quick detach

most expensive though

Hmm..I can't speak for sissy bar adapability (and if you still want one, maybe this won't work), but I put the Springer Classic bags on mine. They are not really "quick detach" but come off in 5 mins with a ratchet (they mount on the two stock fender bolt locations).

Bubba's uses Spools to attach the Detachables similar to Harley's except the cool part is the Bags screw right into the ends of the Spools.

Their site is a bit messed up right now but they usually have some pretty good close up pictures.

I have the bubba's quick release saddlebag brackets and harley quick detach paasenger back rest and luggage rack I looked at all the oters and bubba's is the BEST but also the most expensive the best way to go is with the whole system fom bubba's (saddlebag brackets and detachable backrest) this will put your saddlebags as close to the fender as possible
